CEA Achieves SOMWBA Certification

West Boylston, MA (May 13, 2009) - Corporate Environmental Advisors, Inc. (CEA), announced today that the company has been certified as a woman-owned business by the Massachusetts State Office of Minority and Women Business Assistance (SOMWBA).  "We are very excited to receive this certification since it opens up additional business opportunities in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts," said Deborah N. Migridichian, President and Chief Executive Officer of CEA.  She noted that there are a number of current and potential clients that need environmental services and prefer to give business to qualified companies that are certified as minority or woman-owned.  "We applied for the certification since we believe CEA will obtain additional business as a SOMWBA certified entity, enabling us to continue our growth plans for the future," she continued.  Ms. Migridichian said that with CEA planning to celebrate 25 years in business during 2010, this certification will help propel the business for the next 25 years.

Ms. Migridichian first joined CEA in 1988 to handle the financial and accounting aspects of the business.  Over the years, she held positions of increasing responsibility and became the majority owner in 2004, when she became a Director, Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer.  In 2006 she became the sole Director, as well as President and Chief Executive Officer.  She received her B.S. in Accounting and Finance from Merrimack College.

Steve Migridichian, one of the original co-founders of CEA and its previous Chief Executive Officer until 2006, currently serves as the company's Vice President for Business Development.  He also manages a related business involving commercial real estate development, leasing and management of former Brownfield sites.

SOMBWA is an agency within the Massachusetts Department of Economic Development which promotes the development of certified women owned business enterprises, and offers other minority certifications.  The agency provides a resource and referral service for certified firms with information about federal, state, municipal and private sector procurement opportunities as well as bidding and contracting.  Certified firms are posted at www.somwba.state.ma.us/BusinessDirectory/BusinessDirectory.aspx.
